DOLE holds Kalayaan 2023 job fair in Bataan

Around 500 job seekers lined up for the Kalayaan 2023 job fair launched by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Bataan and SM City Bataan in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of Philippine Independence on Monday, June 12.

Twenty companies participated in the job fair and offered more than 1,600 jobs for applicants not only from the City of Balanga but also from its neighboring towns. According to the message shared by DOLE Bataan Provincial Director Leilani M. Reynoso, along with celebrating Independence Day and conducting the job fair today, they also observed the World Day Against Child Labor with the theme: “Buong bansa, lahat ng bata, sama sama para sa Batang Malaya.” She said that they coincided the two occasions because June 12 is also the day of giving freedom to child workers. The director also promised that DOLE, together with its partner agencies, will continue to support various activities such as job fairs to ensure a better future for every Filipino.
